Recent Donor Funding/Support

The Division has assisted the Center in raising funding and sponsorships of the Annual National SME Forum for the past three years. Sponsors are allowed to display their logos inside the premises during the Forum.

It has also been successful in getting sponsorships for the Centers quarterly newsletter, SME News. In return sponsors are allowed to advertise in the newsletter.

At this stage one of the pilot projects undertaken by the Center is the Vanilla Project. The British high Commission funded this project in 2005 for $31,460.00. This pilot project involves farmers in Vunisea village in Ra province, Nadakuni village in Naitasiri and Namara village in Tailevu. Funding is provided to them to plant vanilla to test its viability as a cash crop for villagers.
